If you’ve been inspired by Rome To Home (my 1250 mile self-supported running adventure from the Colosseum back to the London Eye) and would like to join me, I’d love to have as many of you as possible either running or cycling alongside me for my final few days when I’m back in the UK. I’m calling this ‘The Home Leg’.

The route will take in a number of places I’ve called home before finishing at the iconic London Eye.

Exact timings will depend on my progress and the comfortable pace of all those who join us, so do keep this in mind Dream Team and remember this is a team effort, not a race and all about the collective journey & achievement.

Here’s the plan:

Tuesday 24th October – run 15 miles from Newhaven to Eastbourne (via the South Downs). Starting at Newhaven Port, finishing at Eastbourne Pier. 11am start, 2pm approximate finish.

Wednesday 25th October – run 15 miles from Eastbourne to East Hoathly (via Hailsham). Starting at Eastbourne Pier, finishing at the Kings Head. 10am start, 1pm approximate finish.

Thursday 26th October – run 17 miles from East Hoathly to Tunbridge Wells. Starting at the Kings Head, finishing in Calverley Grounds opposite Tunbridge Wells train station. 10am start, 2pm approximate finish.

Friday 27th October – run 25 miles from Tunbridge Wells to Bromley (via Sevenoaks). Starting in Calverley Grounds, finishing in Bromley High Street (pedestrianised area) 100m north from Bromley South train station. 10am start, 4.30pm approximate finish.

Saturday 28th October – run 6 miles from Bromley High Street to Greenwich Park then 6 miles along the Thames to finish at The London Eye! 9am start, 11am arrival/gathering at Greenwich Park (directly downhill from the Royal Observatory in the centre of the park) 12pm set-off from Greenwich Park (feel free to make a head start) for a 1pm approximate finish at the London Eye!

Whether you’d like to run the whole route with me, just one section or perhaps the final 6 mile blast from Greenwich Park to the London Eye, I’d love to have you with me.

If you are planning to join me and would like to fundraise (with all donations contributing towards the overall Rome To Home efforts for The Campaign Against Living Miserably) you can set up & customise your own dedicated fundraising page in just a few minutes using the link below.
